Does music make you ponder on the lyrics? ‘When I was just a little girl, my mother said to me, que sera sera, whatever will be will be, the future’s not ours to see, que sera sera.’ It is one of my favourite songs and it makes me think, what is the future? Is it tomorrow? Or is it the next hour, or the next minute or the next second? Many believe in Fatalism which basically means that whatever happens in the future cannot be changed. Thus, whatever will happen in the future is already unavoidable, but cannot I choose to change my future through my present? Don’t we reap what we sow? I believe that every person has a choice, and according to the paths they choose, their futures are decided, but is our choice that were are about to make also pre-decided?
On another note, what if we could stop time? But is it possible to do so if the future is already predicted? I’m sure everybody has wished for a time period they could go back to. Most people wish for their childhood back. Give me some sunshine, give me some rain, give me another chance I want to grow up once again… what if that was possible? Would everything freeze and suddenly when we wake up we’d be in a completely different time zone all together, with no memory of the time warp? And if we get the opportunity to change the past, will it change our future too? These thoughts in my head always leave me wondering. Time intrigues me, the whole idea of it. In many TV shows and movies, we see time transformations happening, that’s what gets me to think what if it could actually happen in real life? What if we could go to 2050 or back to the 1600s? Perhaps it could be possible in the “future”, only what if…
